Date: 29/04/2026The Oral Medicine and Radiology Day was celebrated on 29th April 2026 at the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Vaidik Dental College and Research Centre, Daman. The event was organized by the Department of Oral Medicine, Diagnosis and Radiology with active participation from interns and 4th year students. The program aimed to spread awareness about the importance of Oral Medicine and Radiology and improve diagnostic skills among students. Various competitions such as collage making, reel making, quiz, sketch making, and table decor were conducted based on the theme “Bridging Clinical with Radiographic Insights.” Students enthusiastically participated in all activities, which encouraged creativity and academic learning. The event also included cake cutting and prize distribution. Overall, the celebration was informative, interactive, and memorable for students, faculty, and staff.
Date: 24/04/2026A CDI Program lecture on “Simplifying Advanced Root Canal Treatment” was conducted in our college by Dr. Akshayraj Langaliya. The session was informative and helpful for students to understand modern root canal procedures in simple ways. The speaker explained advanced techniques, instruments, and treatment methods used in endodontics. Students gained knowledge about improving diagnosis and clinical skills during root canal treatment. The lecture was interactive and cleared many doubts of the students. Faculty members and students actively participated and appreciated the valuable learning experience.

The event highlighted the importance of balance between nature and human life through creative cultural performances. This event was celebrated with great happiness and excitement. The event marked the achievements and success of the academic year. Students performed dances, dramas, and musical acts based on each element. The stage decorations and costumes beautifully reflected the theme and added vibrancy to the celebration. Faculty members and guests appreciated the creativity and efforts of the students. Date: 13/03/2026Oral Pathologist Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at our institute as part of the nationwide initiative led by the Indian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologists (IAOMP). The occasion marks the birth anniversary of Dr. H. M. Dholakia, who is regarded as the first specialist and postgraduate teacher in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology in India. The celebration highlighted the importance of Oral Pathology in dental education and healthcare.To commemorate the day, the Department organised four unique and engaging competitions for BDS students. These included a “Cooking Without Fire” competition based on the theme of Hematoxylin and Eosin, a Quiz Competition to enhance academic knowledge, a Fashion Show themed around Oral Histology and Oral Pathology, and a Canvas Painting competition that encouraged artistic expression related to the subject. The celebration provided an excellent platform for students to combine scientific learning with creativity and extracurricular talent.

The event was organized to create awareness about the importance of periodontal health and its vital role in maintaining overall oral hygiene. A series of activities, including Reel Making, Clay Art, Ad Mad Show, and Quiz competitions, were conducted to encourage learning through innovation and teamwork. Perio Day not only promoted academic engagement but also emphasized the importance of healthy gums, preventive oral care in everyday life and inspired students to promote periodontal awareness in the community.
Date: 28/01/2026 On the occasion of Prosthodontics Day, the department celebrated the event with great enthusiasm and creativity. Various competitions such as pot painting, drape painting, and “Best Out of Waste” using Prosthodontic materials were organized to encourage student participation and showcase their talents. The events were judged by respected faculty members, making the competitions exciting and motivating for all participants. Students also performed a meaningful and entertaining skit based on student–staff interaction, adding joy and engagement to the celebration. As a gesture of care and social responsibility, Complete Denture (CD) patients were provided with kits. The celebration further included cake cutting, refreshments, and interactive moments among students and staff, creating a warm and memorable atmosphere.
